The Kenyan Ministry of Finance is seeking public opinions on the draft regulation for virtual asset service providers

According to The Block, the Kenyan National Treasury released the draft of the "2026 Virtual Asset Service Provider Regulations" this Wednesday and opened a public consultation, with a deadline of April 10.

The draft is based on the "Virtual Asset Service Provider Act" that came into effect on November 4, 2025, and was drafted by a multi-agency working group involving the Central Bank of Kenya and the Capital Markets Authority.
