Two co-founders of the Indian crypto platform CoinDCX have been summoned by local police

2026-03-22 17:41:51

Two co-founders of the Indian cryptocurrency exchange CoinDCX, Sumit Gupta and Neeraj Khandelwal, who received investment from Coinbase, were arrested by the police on suspicion of involvement in a cryptocurrency investment scam. However, according to reports from other local media, the two were only summoned and not arrested.

CoinDCX issued a statement saying that the case involves someone impersonating the founders of CoinDCX and defrauding an insurance consultant of 7.1 million rupees (approximately $75,000), and is unrelated to the two founders.
