U.S. stocks posted the largest single-day gain since last year, but the monthly line still fell by about 5%

According to Gate market data, on Tuesday Eastern Time, the Dow Jones, S&P 500 Index, and Nasdaq all recorded their largest single-day gains since May 12 of last year. However, in March, the S&P 500 Index fell by 5.1%, the Nasdaq fell by 4.75%, and the Dow fell by 5.38%. The Dow ended a consecutive 10-month upward trend, marking its largest single-month decline since September 2022.
