Cryptocurrency ATM operator Bitcoin Depot disclosed that it lost approximately 50.9 bitcoins in a cybersecurity incident, equivalent to about $3.7 million at current prices. According to documents submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the attack occurred on March 23, with hackers obtaining credentials related to the company's enterprise-level bitcoin wallet, allowing them to breach some internal systems. Bitcoin Depot stated that customer accounts, the platform, and personal data were not affected.
