UU Wallet launches the "Travel Season" campaign: Cashback on the first travel purchase with Visa card, limited-time waiver of virtual card activation fee

The stablecoin one-stop wallet ++UU Wallet++ today announced the launch of the "UU Travel Season" event, which will last for 15 days.

During the event, users who complete their first travel-related transaction using the UU virtual card or physical card— including ride-hailing platforms like Uber, Grab, Lyft, Gojek, Bolt (single transaction over 5 USD), as well as hotel and flight booking platforms like Trip.com, Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, Airbnb, Klook (single transaction over 20 USD)— will receive a 5 USD cashback, which will be credited to their prepaid card balance after the event ends.

This is another operational initiative by UU Wallet aimed at C-end users, focusing on the "daily use of on-chain dollars."

Integrating Stablecoins into Travel Scenarios

Travel is one of the most frequent and easily perceived cross-border consumption scenarios for the majority of users, and it is also the easiest entry point for stablecoins to integrate into users' daily lives. Whether booking flights for business trips, reserving hotels for vacations, or taking rides upon arrival at a destination, these transactions often required users holding stablecoins to go through multiple conversions of "USDT → fiat currency → credit card." However, with the UU Visa card, users can directly use their stablecoin balance at tens of millions of Visa merchants worldwide, such as Uber, Booking.com, and Airbnb, without needing to exchange it further.

A representative from UU Wallet stated: "We hope that through this event, more users can experience the convenience of stablecoins in real scenarios for the first time—not just assets sitting on exchanges, but payment tools that can be used directly for rides, flight bookings, and hotel stays."

Lowering the Access Threshold for Stablecoins

During the event, UU Wallet will also implement a limited-time waiver of the virtual card activation fee policy: after new users complete real-name authentication, the platform will activate their card for free, allowing immediate use without any activation fee.

This means that new users can obtain a stablecoin VISA card that can be used globally without incurring any upfront costs; additionally, existing users who had previously postponed activation due to the activation fee will also be automatically reactivated when the event starts.

Stablecoin Infrastructure for Global Users

UU Wallet is positioned as a one-stop wallet for stablecoins, providing payment and remittance services centered around stablecoins for global users.
