Bank of Canada: Regulations for stablecoin supervision may be introduced in mid to late 2027
According to a Reuters report, Carolyn Rogers, Senior Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada, stated during her testimony in the Senate that the design work for Canada's stablecoin regulatory framework is fully underway and is expected to be launched in mid to late 2027.
She noted that the previously planned target for early 2027 was rather ambitious.
