U.S. stocks opened, with the Dow down 0.22% and Micron Technology down 13%
According to Gate market data, U.S. stocks opened with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.22%, the S&P 500 down 0.4%, and the Nasdaq Composite down 0.6%. Super Micro Computer (SMCI.O) fell by 13% after the company announced plans to raise $7 billion through equity financing. Mining stocks declined as international gold prices fell, with Harmony Gold down 4% and Gold Fields (GFI.N) down 5%. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell by 1%.
