Informed sources: SK Hynix prefers to choose a listing on NASDAQ
According to Reuters, citing two informed sources, South Korean memory chip manufacturer SK Hynix is planning to choose Nasdaq as its platform for listing in the United States. This leading global memory chip company aims to go public on a technology-focused trading platform, leveraging strong investor demand for artificial intelligence (AI)-related stocks.
The listing could take place as early as August. Previously, SK Hynix's stock price has risen about 230% this year, pushing the company's market value to surpass $1 trillion in May. The U.S. listing is expected to further expand the company's investor base and enhance its visibility in the global capital markets.
Sources said that SK Hynix ultimately chose Nasdaq over the New York Stock Exchange. As the relevant information has not yet been made public, the two sources requested anonymity. SK Hynix declined to comment on this matter. Nasdaq has not responded to requests for comment outside of business hours.
