According to Jinshi, the number of initial jobless claims in the United States fell by 4,000 to 226,000 last week, indicating that the labor market remains in a "low layoff" state. Data released by the U.S. Department of Labor on Thursday also showed that the number of continuing jobless claims rose to 1.81 million in the previous week. Despite the energy price shocks triggered by the Iran war, the stronger-than-expected employment report for May showed that U.S. employers added 172,000 jobs, further confirming the resilience of the labor market.
