Circle announces the upcoming launch of native USDC, EURC, and CCTP on the Cronos chain

Circle officially announced that native USDC, EURC, and CCTP (Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol) will soon be launched on the Cronos chain.

According to reports, Cronos is an EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain supported by Crypto.com. Currently, a bridged version of USDC (USDC.e) is running on Cronos, and Circle, along with the Cronos team, plans to gradually migrate liquidity to the native USDC, while the existing bridged version of USDC will remain unaffected and continue to operate normally.

In addition, the native USDC will also be used for deposits and settlements in the Cronos App, allowing users to trade assets such as stocks, cryptocurrencies, and prediction markets on the platform.
