Google's stock price fell due to AI talent poaching, with an intraday decline of 7.2%
According to Gate market data, Google's (GOOG.O) stock price fell on Monday after another well-known artificial intelligence leader left to join a competitor. Google DeepMind Vice President John Jumper announced over the weekend that he would be leaving to join Anthropic. Following the news, Alphabet's stock price briefly dropped by 7.2%, marking the largest intraday decline since February. Last week, Google researcher Noam Shazeer also announced his departure to join OpenAI.
