Global asset management giant Franklin Templeton has officially completed the acquisition of 250 Digital and simultaneously launched a new digital asset division, Franklin Crypto, marking its further expansion in the actively managed cryptocurrency space. The deal was initially reached in April this year, with 250 Digital being a spinoff from CoinFund. Following this integration, Franklin Crypto will operate as an independent actively managed platform, focusing on institutional investors such as pension funds and sovereign wealth funds. Franklin Templeton currently manages approximately $1.78 trillion in assets, and this move is seen as an important step in incorporating digital assets into traditional institutional investment portfolios.
