According to the Chosun Ilbo, 22 Bitcoins that were previously held by the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul during the investigation of a financial hacking case have been lost, amounting to approximately 2.2 billion won at the latest market value. The investigation revealed that the Bitcoins involved were stored in an offline wallet held by the complainant, and individuals who knew the mnemonic phrase subsequently restored and liquidated them externally.
