From physical books to digital membership credentials, from reading events to global communities, a century-old publishing brand collaborates with DataDance and IPDEX to explore new models of cultural dissemination and Web3 community connection.

The establishment ceremony and sharing session of the "Binance Life" Global Book Club, jointly organized by Commercial Press (Hong Kong), DataDance, and IPDEX, was held on June 28 at the Tsim Sha Tsui Book Centre of Commercial Press in Hong Kong, hosted by Editor Colin Wu.

The event gathered representatives from the publishing, media, Web3, AI, data, and security fields to explore how an entrepreneurial biography can become a new entry point for understanding the crypto industry, connecting global readers, and promoting the transformation and upgrading of publishing through thematic sharing, roundtable discussions, a launch ceremony, and exchanges among book lovers.

Unlike traditional book launches, this event simultaneously introduced the "Binance Life" Global Book Club membership program and implemented a mechanism for exchanging digital membership credentials for physical books. Readers can exchange the digital membership credentials for a physical copy of "Binance Life" at designated stores of Commercial Press (Hong Kong) and participate in subsequent reading sharing, thematic forums, and cross-regional community activities. DataDance and IPDEX provide technical support for connecting digital membership credentials and related rights, allowing readers' identities, physical reading, and subsequent community participation to form a more complete closed loop. For Commercial Press, which has a history of over a hundred years, this is not just a book promotion but an attempt to transform from "publishing a book" to "operating a reader community."

Mao Yongbo, General Manager of Commercial Press (Hong Kong), stated in his speech that the value of reading goes beyond acquiring knowledge; it lies in allowing people from different backgrounds to form new judgments through communication. "Books are the highest return on investment for self-improvement. If a book can leave a reader with a new question or form a new judgment, it has already begun to change lives." He believes that the significance of the "Binance Life" Book Club lies in combining the content sedimentation ability of traditional publishing with the connection ability of a new generation of digital communities, allowing reading to become a public space between people, industries, and eras.

Geoffrey Tong, founder of DataDance and director of IPDEX, stated in his thematic sharing that "Binance Life" is not just a personal biography of CZ but also a key to help more people understand Web3. "Prejudice is a mountain; instead of arguing, it's better to hand them the book. Truly effective popular science is about letting people find answers within the story themselves." He introduced that the book club will gather global readers' notes, insights, and resonances through czlife.club, which may eventually be compiled into "My Binance Life." In his view, what the book club truly aims to do is not to sell a book to more people but to allow readers from different languages and regions to engage in their own reflections around the same story.

As an important technical partner of this book club, DataDance's role goes beyond providing digital tools. Its decentralized data infrastructure, built around consumer data, focuses on individuals' secure control over data, authorized sharing, and value return. In the context of the "Binance Life" Book Club, this means that readers are not just one-time purchasers but can gradually become long-term community members through digital identities, reading records, event participation, and content co-creation. Reading thus becomes not just a one-way transmission but a public action that can be recorded, connected, and continuously grown.

The prototype character in the book, Dr. Awesome Doge, who combined his experience in participating in early crypto communities, expressed that CZ's story is worth repeated discussion not just because of Binance's results but because it contains the choices of an entrepreneur amid misunderstandings, risks, and cycles. "What truly transcends cycles is not a one-time price judgment but the ability to sit at the table for the long term, continuously learn, and abstract problems into methods." He mentioned that many early people did not understand Bitcoin and the crypto industry; the value of the community lies precisely in accompanying a group of people to warm up the cold bench and turn short-term noise into long-term understanding.

The roundtable forum, themed "Entrepreneurial Stories and Opportunities of the Era," was hosted by Joe Zhou, a senior expert in financial regulation and blockchain forensics and Web3 security in Hong Kong, with guests including MetaEra CEO Jessica Young, ChainCatcher co-founder Pan, media personality and senior editor Meng Xiaoshe, and DataDance CTO Li Yingxuan participating in the discussion.

Joe Zhou pointed out from the perspectives of regulation, security, and on-chain forensics that for the Web3 industry to gain broader trust, it cannot rely solely on technological enthusiasm; compliance, risk control, security, media, and data infrastructure must also play a role. "User-first is not just a slogan; it means being willing to put users' money, trust, and dignity first at critical moments." He believes that CZ's long-termism is not abstract but is reflected in the most pressured and difficult choices in the industry, where user interests remain at the core.

MetaEra CEO Jessica Young, affectionately referred to as "Sister Card" by the on-site book lovers, shared her judgments on choices and trends from an entrepreneur's perspective. She stated that the real risk is not market volatility but a person stopping learning and upgrading their judgment system. "Don't just choose the easiest path at the moment. The downhill path is easy to walk, but the end often lacks compound interest." She believes that AI is bringing new productivity, while Web3 offers new collaboration mechanisms and value distribution methods; the combination of the two will open an important window for global entrepreneurship in the next phase. Her advice to young entrepreneurs is: do not get lost in short-term trends, and do not misinterpret the opportunities of the era as speculative shortcuts; continuous learning is the underlying capability to transcend cycles.

ChainCatcher co-founder Pan pointed out from the perspective of media and data infrastructure that the Web3 industry generates a large amount of information daily, but what is truly scarce is verifiable, traceable, and reusable information structures. "Media is responsible for preserving the warmth of facts, while data provides the scale for judgment; when the narrative is hot enough, someone must leave the facts behind and organize the data." He believes that if the "Binance Life" Book Club can continuously sediment reader feedback, industry discussions, and key individuals' experiences, it will not just be a reading activity but will become a long-term archive of industry memory and community consensus.

Media personality and senior editor Meng Xiaoshe stated from the perspective of media and content dissemination that the more complex the emerging industry, the more it needs clear, restrained, and credible expression. "The value of media is not to amplify noise but to translate complex industries into language that people can understand, judge, and act upon." He believes that the public's understanding of Web3 often does not start from technical white papers but begins with a specific character, a real experience, or a key choice. The communicative value of "Binance Life" lies in its ability to turn an abstract industry into a story that ordinary readers can enter.

DataDance CTO Li Yingxuan pointed out from the data and AI perspective that Web3 has completed the early construction of infrastructure for asset issuance, trading, and identity connection, while the key issues of the AI era will shift to data ownership and the return of data value to individuals. "In the future, it should not just be individual data continuing to feed platforms, but rather that everyone's browsing, creation, and interaction can become verifiable, authorized, and monetizable digital assets." He believes that the introduction of digital membership credentials and community mechanisms in the "Binance Life" Book Club is essentially exploring a new user relationship: readers are not just content consumers but can also become content co-creators, community participants, and part of a value network.

Several guests mentioned in the discussion that the value of "Binance Life" is not just in recording CZ and Binance's growth but in presenting the opportunities, controversies, risks, and globalization processes of the crypto industry over the past decade through one person's experience. The importance of personal stories lies in their ability to allow ordinary readers to understand an era through specific choices: how to judge in the face of uncertainty, how to persist in the face of misunderstanding, and how to retain the ability to continue acting in the face of cycles.

From physical books to digital membership credentials, from the Hong Kong site to global readers, the innovation of the "Binance Life" Global Book Club is not just about bringing a book to more people but transforming a book into a continuously occurring learning network. Commercial Press provides content and offline reading scenarios, DataDance offers digital identity and data infrastructure capabilities, and IPDEX connects IP rights and community operation mechanisms, together allowing a book to extend from a publication to a globally participatory, sedimentary, and sustainably operated reader community.

According to the organizers, the book club will continue to hold reading sharing, thematic forums, developer exchanges, and cross-regional community activities in the future, with plans to expand to more Asian cities. More readers, entrepreneurs, media professionals, and Web3 builders can join this global reading community through subsequent activities: come with questions, leave with connections, and let "Binance Life" not just stay on the pages but become a starting point for more people to understand the industry, calibrate choices, and continue acting.
