Pump.fun launches BOOST mode, adding approximately 20% liquidity for each new migrated token
Pump.fun announced the launch of a new standard launch mechanism called BOOST, applicable to every new token on the platform. Pump.fun stated that over $100 million in liquidity becomes dead liquidity each year when tokens migrate from the initial bonding curve to the liquidity pool, and the BOOST model will reinject future liquidity into each bonded token.
Co-founder Alon Cohen described this update as adding approximately 20% liquidity for each newly migrated token, without altering the trading experience of the bonding curve or liquidity pool, injecting hundreds of millions into the ecosystem over time.
The above data is based on the company's own projections rather than independently verified results, and Pump.fun did not release a supporting dataset with the announcement. The actual liquidity effect depends on the number of tokens bonded and migrated under the new default mechanism. Previously, Pump.fun launched a USDC paired liquidity pool.
