According to Cointelegraph, Russia's largest bank, Sberbank, plans to establish cryptocurrency trading infrastructure by December 1 at the latest, which includes a digital repository.
Previously, Russia was incorporating cryptocurrency trading, custody, and settlement into its regulated financial system. The digital repository will record the ownership of cryptocurrencies and handle most transactions outside the main blockchain. Sberbank will operate active wallets for customers to make deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
