According to Sina Finance, on Monday local time, Apple surpassed Nvidia to become the world's most valuable company for the first time since April 2025. Nvidia's stock price fell nearly 5% on Monday, with its market value dropping to $4.77 trillion, as investors expressed concerns about the enormous costs of AI infrastructure, leading to a decline in the AI chip sector overall. Meanwhile, Apple's stock price rose by 1%, bringing its market value to $4.95 trillion, as the company is set to release its highly anticipated earnings report after the market closes on Thursday. Nvidia has maintained its position as the world's most valuable company since it took the title from Microsoft in June 2025, briefly reaching a market value of $5 trillion last October. So far in 2026, Nvidia's stock price has only increased by 4%, while Apple's has risen by 24%. Apple's performance has outpaced the market, as it remains cautious with its AI capital expenditures, preferring to lease computing power rather than build its own infrastructure, a strategy that has been well received by investors.
