Coinbase appoints senior employee Rob Witoff as the new Chief Technology Officer

According to The Block, Coinbase has appointed senior employee Rob Witoff (@RWitoff) as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), coinciding with ongoing executive adjustments at the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the United States.

Witoff previously served as the head of the Coinbase platform and recently stated that 95% to 100% of the company's code is written with AI assistance, with the workload of AI agents equivalent to about 1,200 full-time developers.
