AmericasCUs supports most of the provisions of the Clarity Act and calls for strengthening the stablecoin yield provisions

Fox Business crypto reporter posted on the X platform that former NCUA Chairman Rodney Hood stated last week that credit unions play an important role in the modernization of the financial system. A few days later, Americas CUs and the credit union leagues from all 50 states supported the majority of the Clarity Act, but echoed the banking industry's concerns about the stablecoin revenue provisions of the bill, urging senators to strengthen the language.

These groups believe that the current Tillis-Alsobrooks compromise still may allow for a "functionally passive" reward structure, which could lead to deposits flowing out of local credit unions.
