RoboStrategy announced leading a $200 million Series C round for Standard Bots, with a valuation of $1 billion
RoboStrategy disclosed on platform X that it led a $200 million Series C financing for the robotics company Standard Bots, with a post-investment valuation of $1 billion. RoboStrategy stated that industrial robotic arms were invented in the United States, but the U.S. has lost its dominance in this industry, and the existing product architecture has been frozen since the 1980s, making it difficult to adapt to AI real-time control and variable scenarios.
Standard Bots has redesigned the robotic arm from scratch, optimizing each component for AI, achieving joint-level torque sensing, 2 kHz real-time feedback closed-loop, and ease of teaching for workers to complete in one day, while utilizing a domestic supply chain. Its product line includes Spark, Core, Thor, and Bolt dual-arm robots (in testing phase), with Thor having a payload of 30 kg and a working radius of 2 meters. Compared to FANUC CRX and UR10e, Core achieves a higher payload and tighter repeatability accuracy at a lower price. The company's goal is to capture 10% of new industrial robot deployments in the U.S. within a year, with plans to achieve full-process American manufacturing from metal raw materials to robots by 2027.
