JPMorgan: The U.S. Treasury will temporarily not adjust its bond issuance plan to avoid market disruption
According to Jinshi News, JPMorgan Chase expects that the U.S. Treasury will avoid making adjustments that could imply an expansion of bond issuance when it announces its quarterly refinancing plan next week, in order to avoid disturbing the bond market before the midterm elections in November.
JPMorgan Chase also anticipates a funding gap of $3.7 trillion over the next four fiscal years, and officials should adjust the long-term guidance on auction sizes to achieve the Treasury's goal of "prudent debt management."
