According to Jinshi, the People's Bank of China held a work meeting for the second half of 2026, emphasizing the steady deepening of financial reform and opening up to the outside world. The meeting pointed out the active development of inter-central bank currency swaps and local currency settlement cooperation, supporting more foreign institutions to participate in the issuance of panda bonds, and promoting the construction of the cross-border payment system for the renminbi, as well as improving the cross-border infrastructure for digital renminbi.
