Morgan Stanley surpasses Goldman Sachs, ranking among the top three in Asian equity underwriting excluding Japan
Morgan Stanley replaced Goldman Sachs to become one of the top three underwriters for Asian stock issuances last month, excluding Japan. So far this year, the total issuance in this market has increased by 55% compared to the same period last year.
According to compiled data, companies raised $162 billion through stock issuances in July, compared to $104.8 billion in the same period last year. Morgan Stanley's market share rose to 6.07%, surpassing Goldman Sachs' 5.62%; China International Capital Corporation maintained the top underwriting position with a 13.1% share. Changxin Storage completed a fundraising of $9.84 billion in July, making it the largest stock issuance project of the month.
