Online brokerage Robinhood has been approved to offer cryptocurrency services in the UK. Its existing registration with the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) means the company complies with the regulator's requirements regarding anti-money laundering.

The UK's more comprehensive cryptocurrency regulatory framework will take effect in October 2027, and Robinhood's acquisition of the cryptocurrency service license occurs before the implementation of this framework.
