Uniswap is about to launch a token issuance platform on Robinhood Chain.

On July 30, Uniswap launched the Robinhood Chain Meme aggregation tab on its official website, where users can view various token issuance platforms like Bankr, Pons, Long, etc., issuing memes on Robinhood Chain. As the trading infrastructure behind Robinhood Chain Meme, it was initially thought that Uniswap was still practicing "restraint" and not competing for market share with token issuance platforms, but the community has discovered that it has secretly been "recruiting."

On July 31, according to crypto KOL "0xSLK," Uniswap is developing a token issuance platform called Pools.trade on Robinhood Chain, which is currently live on the official website but not yet officially open for products. The Pools.trade official website interface only features a frog "playing" by the pond and the phrase "Coming soon."

"0xSLK" also discovered that the Pools.trade domain was registered on July 17, 2026, and the website uses a noindex tag, which means Uniswap is deliberately concealing this matter. (Odaily Note: noindex is a directive for search engines; when search engine crawlers see this directive, they can crawl the webpage but will not index it or display it in search results)

This kind of operation that seems to hide something has further aroused the community's curiosity. @0xSLK found that the video file of the frog on the website is located at a path named rh-cca/frong.mp4, and Pools.trade also contains a large number of internal strings prefixed with rhcca.*, which almost certainly refers to Robinhood. cca refers to Uniswap's Continuous Clearing Auction. Subsequently, the community even discovered the product slogan "Pools - create a token on Robinhood Chain" in the front-end code of Pools.trade.

Seeing that it could no longer be concealed, on August 4, Uniswap founder Hayden Adams directly responded to the community's question about when Pools.trade would open with "very soon," confirming all previous speculations from the community.

Pools.trade Mechanism Introduction

According to crypto KOL "0xSLK," after its official launch, Pools.trade is expected to have two token issuance models.

Crowd Launch

Crowd Launch adopts a 4-hour auction mechanism with a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens, of which 50% is used for auction, and the remaining 50% along with the raised funds is used to establish Uniswap v4 liquidity pools, which will be permanently locked. If the token market value reaches $50,000, the migration to Uniswap can be completed and trading opened; otherwise, participants can receive a full refund.

The auction uses time-weighted bidding, aiming to ensure that all participants receive the same final clearing price while reducing bottom bundling behavior.

Instant Launch

Instant Launch is more similar to the Bonding Curve model of Pump.fun, allowing users to trade immediately, with 80% of the token supply used for user trading and the remaining 20% for liquidity building. Similarly, once the market value reaches $50,000, it can migrate to Uniswap v4. Unlike Crowd Launch, Instant Launch has no deadline and no refunds.

In addition, @0xSLK also discovered more information, such as fundraising can be done using ETH and USDG, with a protocol fee rate of 0.25% and a creator fee of 0.05%.

The on-chain infrastructure related to Pools has been deployed to Robinhood Chain. Uniswap's official documentation shows that related contracts include CCA Factory, LiquidityLauncher, and LBPStrategy, among others. Currently, the community has found that it is already possible to issue tokens by bypassing the front end of Pools.trade, and data shows that Pools.trade has completed hundreds of token creations and migrations, with multiple meme coins related to Pools appearing in the market, but none have been officially claimed.

Uniswap is unwilling to stay behind the scenes

Why does Uniswap want to compete with token issuance platforms on Robinhood Chain?

Uniswap does have a position in the Robinhood Chain ecosystem; it has its own ecological niche and firmly holds the leading position in DEX. According to Dune data, over 95% of transactions on Robinhood Chain DEX occur on Uniswap, and since the launch of Robinhood Chain, the trading volume on the Uniswap protocol has exceeded $10 billion.

The data looks very impressive; Uniswap has handled most of the transactions on Robinhood Chain, but its revenue does not match its contributions.

According to DeFiLlama data, Uniswap's total revenue over the past 30 days was $4.45 million, while the revenue from Robinhood Chain token issuance platform Flap was $4.41 million, and Pons' revenue was $4.32 million. On the surface, the revenue seems considerable, but it should be noted that this is Uniswap's total revenue over the past 30 days across all EVM chains, while Flap and Pons primarily operate on Robinhood Chain, and the tokens they issue will migrate to Uniswap, resulting in their monthly revenue being comparable to Uniswap's.

Narrowing the comparison to the past 7 days, the difference in "printing capacity" becomes even more apparent. Flap's total revenue over the past 7 days was $2.68 million, while Uniswap only had $1.84 million. Over the past 7 days, Flap has consistently ranked as the second token issuance platform on Robinhood Chain, and on August 3, the number of tokens issued on the Flap platform surpassed Pons for the first time, ranking first in token issuance volume on Robinhood Chain.

In summary, Uniswap has decided to extend its DEX business into the token issuance platform field, and its motivations can be analyzed from two dimensions: market revenue and its own capabilities.

On one hand, the Launchpad track has recently shown significant revenue potential. In the early days of Robinhood Chain's launch, the token issuance platform NOXA, launched by independent developers, achieved over $13 million in revenue within 10 days due to its early positioning. (Recommended reading: "NOXA's 'Lone Wolf' Developer Surges with Revenue Exceeding Pump.fun for 5 Consecutive Days")

On the other hand, compared to Launchpad, DEX typically requires higher resource investment in technical development, operation, and cost control. Uniswap already possesses mature infrastructure and operational experience in this regard. With its financial reserves, technical talent team, and management capabilities, Uniswap theoretically has the potential to reshape the existing market landscape.

However, the actual execution results remain to be verified. After all, Uniswap previously integrated the CCA (Continuous Clearing Auction) token issuance mechanism on Robinhood Chain on July 13, and the market reaction was relatively tepid. Whether the newly launched Pools.trade can achieve different results will need to be observed after its official launch.

Additionally, it is worth noting that if Uniswap, as a base liquidity protocol, extends its business boundaries upward to the token issuance stage, it may impact its existing cooperative relationships with upper-level issuance platforms. If issuance platforms view Uniswap as a direct competitor, they may theoretically adjust their token liquidity deployment strategies, such as reducing or stopping the migration of tokens to Uniswap, which could lead to Uniswap suffering losses.
