Early investors support SpaceX: The market has yet to understand its value, and it could reach a valuation of $10 trillion in the future
According to CNBC, Peter Diamandis, an early investor in SpaceX and founder of the XPRIZE Foundation, stated that SpaceX has the potential to become the world's first company with a market value of $10 trillion in the future.
Diamandis pointed out that the market has not yet found the right way to assess SpaceX's value. The company's space transportation, satellite internet, and future space economy layout may bring long-term growth potential far exceeding that of traditional companies. SpaceX's core value comes not only from its reusable rocket business but also includes the Starlink satellite internet, future lunar and Mars exploration plans, and the new economic system built around space infrastructure.
Previously, SpaceX has become one of the highest-valued private tech companies in the world. As the company's business expands from rocket launches to satellite communications and deep space exploration, investors are trying to reassess its long-term commercial potential.
Diamandis believes that traditional valuation models struggle to measure the value of a platform company like SpaceX, which is simultaneously laying out aerospace, communications, and future infrastructure, and therefore the market may be underestimating its future growth potential.
