Shipping volume in the Strait of Hormuz and the Mandeb Strait has significantly decreased
According to Jinshi reports, traffic in the Mandeb Strait and the Strait of Hormuz significantly decreased on Wednesday compared to the previous day. Data from maritime tracking agency Kpler shows that only two ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, down from eight the day before. Before the war in Iran began in February, about 130 to 140 ships passed through this waterway daily.
In the Mandeb Strait, only one cargo ship passed through on Wednesday, far lower than the 20 ships the day before.
