SK Hynix's pre-market trading hits the limit down again, South Korea introduces static VI to cope with volatility
According to Gate's market data, SK Hynix experienced abnormal fluctuations in pre-market trading on the South Korean alternative trading platform NEXTRADE (NXT), with only 11 shares traded before hitting the lower limit price.
After the market opened at 8 AM that day, SK Hynix traded at 1,168,000 won per share, down 29.97% from the previous trading day's closing price. After resuming trading, the decline quickly narrowed to around 3% to 4%.
NXT plans to introduce a static volatility interruption mechanism (VI) starting next month to prevent orders that deviate significantly from being executed immediately.
