JPMorgan tokenizes ETF holdings through a pilot with DTCC

Large American financial institutions continue to advance on-chain business. JPMorgan is tokenizing ETF holdings through a pilot program with the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), and over 50 companies including BlackRock and Goldman Sachs have connected to the same infrastructure for the tokenization of stocks and U.S. Treasury bonds.

The CEO of BlackRock stated that tokenization is a way to "update the financial system pipeline." Randi Abernethy, Head of Clearing and Group Risk at Bullish Exchange, testified on the CLARITY Act before the U.S. House Financial Services Subcommittee in July 2026.
