The AI Fund Situational Awareness has informed investors that it will not accept new funds for the time being
According to a report by Wall Street Journal, the AI fund Situational Awareness, which was previously disclosed to have suffered significant losses due to a sharp correction in AI-related stocks, is seeking new capital injection. However, the fund's experience of blowing up has not become a stain in Silicon Valley; instead, it has reinforced the "hero persona" of founder Leopold Aschenbrenner. Many Silicon Valley investors see it as an opportunity to "buy the dip" and continue to support this former OpenAI researcher turned investor. The fund has now informed investors that it will not accept new capital for the time being, but the enthusiasm from the outside has not waned. Senior venture capitalist Elad Gil even publicly announced his first application to invest in Aschenbrenner's fund.
In addition, Morgan Stanley, which previously refused to provide prime brokerage services to Situational Awareness, has changed its stance and plans to include the fund as a prime brokerage client in the coming weeks.
