Nakamoto Q2 financial report: Adjusted operating income turns positive, holding 4,467 bitcoins
According to Business Wire, Bitcoin operating company Nakamoto Inc. (NASDAQ: NAKA) announced its financial report for the second quarter of 2026, with total revenue of $35.9 million. The media and asset management business contributed $25.6 million, while the Bitcoin derivatives strategy contributed $10.4 million. The GAAP operating loss was $149.1 million, primarily driven by a $105.2 million non-cash goodwill impairment and a $48.7 million Bitcoin market value loss;
Excluding the aforementioned non-cash items, the adjusted operating income was $7.3 million, marking the first positive value since the company's transformation into a Bitcoin operating company. During the period, the company repaid approximately $45 million in USDT debt and deferred about $105 million in USDT principal until June 30, 2027. As of June 30, the company held 4,467 Bitcoins, with a fair value of approximately $261.5 million, and a net digital asset leverage ratio of 56%.
