2026-08-17 18:47:57

The macro hedge fund Tudor Investment, founded by billionaire Paul Tudor Jones, holds 688,529 shares of BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), with a market value of approximately $22.9 million as of June 30, an increase of 18.9% from the end of the first quarter, ending a year-long trend of reduction.

Tudor Investment also reduced its corresponding holdings in call options linked to IBIT from 998,000 shares to about 148,000 shares, a decrease of approximately 85%, while the put options position remained roughly flat. The 13F filing did not disclose the options' strike prices and expiration dates. Tudor Investment once held over 8 million shares of IBIT at the end of 2024, followed by a continuous reduction. Paul Tudor Jones has long viewed Bitcoin as an asset to hedge against inflation, and IBIT currently accounts for about 49% of the assets in U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs.
