At the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Robot Conference, Xin Guobin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated that in 2025, the operating income of enterprises above designated size in the robotics industry exceeded 300 billion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of over 20% in the past five years. In the first half of this year, it reached 165.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.5%. Robot technology and products have been widely applied in various aspects of the national economy and social development, becoming an important force in promoting high-quality development.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will focus on key industries with broad application spaces and strong demonstration effects, such as agriculture, healthcare, elderly care, and emergency response. It will organize targeted efforts for production and application pairing, on-site application verification, and promotion of mature scenarios, accelerating the iteration and upgrading of new technologies and new products through large-scale applications in new scenarios.
