The US OCC expects to finalize the GENIUS Act rules before November, adjusting them based on feedback from the cryptocurrency industry

2026-08-20 00:20:02

Crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett stated that the head of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) mentioned at the SALT Conference in Wyoming that the approval activities related to digital assets have increased eightfold compared to the Biden administration, and described the previous administration's attempt to "eliminate risk" as "extremely shortsighted."

She noted that the OCC expects to finalize the rules related to the GENIUS Act by November and will adjust the rules based on feedback from the crypto industry.
