Coinbase selects Abu Dhabi as its international tokenization hub

According to Fortune, cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has chosen Abu Dhabi in the UAE as its "International Tokenization Hub," aiming to bring more traditional financial assets onto the blockchain. This move is seen as a significant advancement for Abu Dhabi in attracting global cryptocurrency and fintech companies.

Coinbase plans to promote the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) through this hub, leveraging Abu Dhabi's regulatory environment and policy support to expand its presence in the Middle East and international markets. In recent years, Abu Dhabi has continuously improved its digital asset regulatory framework, attracting multiple cryptocurrency institutions to settle there.
