According to Gate market data, U.S. stocks opened with the Dow down 0.6%, the S&P 500 index down 0.3%, and the Nasdaq down 0.5%. Micron Technology rose 0.4%, planning to invest $10 billion over ten years. Walmart fell 7%, with Q2 same-store sales growth hitting a six-year low, and full-year profit guidance below expectations. SK Hynix rose 4%, with labor and management reaching a preliminary wage agreement. Alibaba fell 4.7% after earnings, and NetEase fell 0.5% after earnings.
