Qatar seeks to work with Egypt to promote a ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran, calling for ensuring smooth navigation in the Strait

Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Al Thani stated at a joint press conference with the Egyptian Foreign Minister that Qatar will coordinate and cooperate with Egypt to promote a final agreement on the Iran issue to end the war and military escalation.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the need to ensure freedom and safety of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, condemning actions that hinder international shipping.
