From Holder to Ecological Governance: HTX DAO Core Builder Helium and Community Ambassador Xiao Du Interpret the Ecological Value of HTX
The "VIP Guardian Program" is a series of interviews launched by Huobi HTX, focusing on large client service practices. Every Tuesday, the platform's frontline service team is invited to share real service experiences, market observations, and insights into customer needs, conveying a long-term service philosophy and showcasing Huobi HTX's professional and stable customer service capabilities.
In the 13th episode of the "VIP Guardian Program," the topic extends to HTX, which is the governance token of HTX DAO and also the only designated cooperative token of Huobi HTX. These two identities correspond to two sets of benefits: the former is linked to transaction fee discounts, Prime levels, and many other rights, while the latter is connected to proposals, voting, and the governance committee. For users holding tokens, this means there is a path to participate beyond trading. Helium, the core builder of HTX DAO, and Xiao Du, the community ambassador of HTX DAO, guest on this episode to interpret the long-term value of HTX and the rights that holders can enjoy.
From Transaction Discounts to Deflationary Models: How HTX's Rights Are Built
Helium's sharing starts with rights that are closely related to users.
In trading scenarios, HTX directly corresponds to transaction fee discounts; at the same time, holding HTX can accelerate the user's Prime level upgrade, and the Prime level will further affect the rights allocation in various sectors such as in-platform trading and earning tokens. For example, in the case of earning tokens, the annualized yield corresponding to the highest Prime level can reach 9% in USDT. Helium believes that considering the stable nature of USDT itself, this yield level is quite competitive in the market.
More attention is paid to the economic model than to the rights structure. Helium stated that HTX has not adopted a continuous issuance method; Huobi HTX uses 50% of its revenue for token buybacks and burns, executed quarterly, thus forming a deflationary mechanism. The recently launched TradFi contract trading mining adds a new source beyond regular burns; during the activity period, the transaction fees generated from designated trading pairs will also be used for HTX buybacks and burns.
"When one side has demand and the other side is reducing, its value system will be established," Helium said.
The change in the number of holding addresses reflects this process. According to Helium, data from the HTX DAO official website shows that the number of HTX holding addresses has been steadily rising since the beginning of 2024 and has now exceeded 900,000.
From Trading Scenarios to Digital Financial Hubs: HTX's Positioning Continues to Expand
One point Helium repeatedly emphasized during the live broadcast is that HTX's role is exceeding the trading exchange scenario itself.
"Many holders have heard me say this many times, and today I want to emphasize it again. In the entire Crypto industry, the value of a token is anchored in a diverse ecosystem," he stated. On-chain lending, prediction markets, TradFi, and other scenarios all have space to combine with token mechanisms, and HTX has the opportunity to become a hub tool for future digital finance.
This direction aligns with the "Free Financial Port" vision proposed by Huobi HTX global advisor Sun Yuchen. Helium believes that the crypto industry is essentially a digital financial infrastructure oriented towards the future, and the convenience it can provide is not covered by traditional finance and traditional internet. The combination of DAO and public chains provides organizational forms for connecting more assets and ecosystems.
"I am a post-95, and our generation basically lives in the digital age. How to establish rules in the digital world, what to govern, and what to develop, there are many things that can be done here."
He also mentioned that expanding scenarios is not simply about following trends. Many product suggestions raised by users are visible to the team, but considerations of liquidity quality, fairness and security, compliance aspects, and financial safety responsibilities all need to be included in the judgment, "You need to be responsible for the entire ecosystem."
The Third Governance Committee: Giving a Voice to the Community
During the live broadcast, the election for the third governance committee of HTX DAO was underway. Helium explained the design logic of this mechanism.
In his statement, governance committee members are not representatives of power but are closer to gatherers and promoters of community opinions. Committee members need to maintain a close distance to the community, understand the real demands of token holders, explain the value and pros and cons of proposals to the community when they arise, and promote the implementation of specific ecological topics, such as empowering and optimizing the TradFi sector, trading mining mechanisms, liquidity building, and more. The prerequisites for candidacy are also clear: one must hold HTX. "Otherwise, they cannot represent this community."
Regarding incentives, Helium stated that the early treasury development fund of HTX DAO is open to builders who create value for the organization, "An organization must accommodate those who bring value to it." But he also emphasized that evaluation standards are not determined by a few individuals; the contributions of builders need to be seen and recognized by the entire holding community, and the incentive distribution process must remain transparent.
It was introduced that the registration deadline for this governance committee election is August 31, and users can visit HTX DAO's official Twitter to check the pinned tweet and scan the code to register for participation.
From Holders to Governors: Xiao Du's Four-Step Path
As the community ambassador of HTX DAO, Xiao Du has accumulated a wealth of frontline experience in communicating with users. She stated that many users interested in HTX have consulted her about ways to participate in the ecosystem. In response, Xiao Du provided a clear four-step path.
The first step is real usage. She suggests that users first understand and use HTX, rather than just staring at price charts. HTX DAO currently has various community activities, and users can first become experience officers, providing real product experiences and feedback.
The second step is content participation. Users who are good at content creation can help more people understand the mechanisms of HTX and HTX DAO through their creations.
The third step is governance participation. Users with a willingness to contribute can register for the third governance committee election, assessing whether the products they care about have a chance to enter the ecosystem; users with industry resources can also help connect more projects and partners to the ecosystem.
The fourth step is long-term construction. "If you feel capable, have ideas, and are willing to build long-term, you can move from being a community participant to a governance position."
Xiao Du added that the long-term value of an ecosystem is not determined by any one person; it is built together by all those who are optimistic about HTX, piece by piece.
HTX Provides an Ecosystem Service System
In this episode, what Helium and Xiao Du discussed are actually two ends of the same matter.
One end is the mechanism: transaction discounts, Prime levels, earning rights, quarterly buybacks and burns, and the empowering paths that continue to extend to new scenarios like TradFi, forming the value foundation of HTX. The other end is the channels: governance committee elections, proposal voting, community feedback, and high-frequency live interactions allow holders to truly enter the decision-making chain.
Helium mentioned during the live broadcast that Sun Yuchen once said that coming to Huobi HTX is to trade the hottest coins, "and what is hottest is determined by the community." Behind this statement is HTX DAO's ongoing attempt to aggregate the dispersed voices of users through a consensus mechanism. The previous community voting mechanism for listing coins has already been in operation, and the team is also researching how to introduce similar mechanisms into more aspects like TradFi pre-market heat.
For core users and high-value users, what HTX corresponds to is no longer just trading services. From product rights to community participation, from asset services to governance connections, it provides a deeper, more long-term, and more growth-oriented ecosystem service system. The identity of users within it has also extended from holders to co-builders.
"We welcome all partners to join us and co-build the $HTX ecosystem." This is the invitation Helium extended during the live broadcast, as well as HTX DAO's posture towards the next stage.
