Las Vegas businessman convicted of $24 million cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme faces 280 years in prison
According to The Block, Las Vegas businessman Brent Kovar was convicted by a jury for his involvement in a $24 million cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme and faces a maximum of 280 years in prison.
The U.S. Department of Justice stated that Kovar used investor funds to operate Profit Connect and repaid old investors with new funds under the guise of mining profits.
