Galaxy Research: 6 dormant Bitcoin wallets that have been inactive for over 10 years transferred 553.59 coins in 10 days, worth 40.15 million dollars

Galaxy Research tracked and found that 6 Bitcoin wallets that have been inactive since 2011, 2012, and 2014 transferred a total of 553.59 Bitcoins between August 16 and 26, valued at 40.15 million dollars based on the price at the time of transfer. Two of the wallets are tagged with "Salomon Client Dusted," related to the Noah Doe lawsuit in New York.

One of the transfers involved 40 Bitcoins, with the wallet having been dormant since May 28, 2012. The funds were transferred to the German cryptocurrency custody bank Boerse Stuttgart Digital on August 26. Based on a cost of about 5 dollars, this fund has increased by approximately 1,535,911%. The remaining transfers included 212, 150, and 132.31 Bitcoins, respectively from long-inactive wallets from 2012, 2014, and 2011. The Noah Doe lawsuit involves a request to declare 39,069 dormant Bitcoin addresses in New York as lost property, and some long-term holding addresses transferred funds after the Coldcard hardware wallet vulnerability incident in July.
