A couple in France was robbed at gunpoint: the robbers intended to obtain cryptocurrency assets

According to Midi Libre, a couple in Alès, France, was recently attacked at home by two masked armed individuals. The two suspects, armed with a handgun and a knife, bound the victims and threatened them for over two hours, while their young children were also in the house.

The attackers allegedly attempted to force the victims to hand over their cryptocurrency assets, but fled the scene after neighbors called the police. The case has been taken over by the relevant police department in Nîmes for investigation. The victims later stated that they had decided to no longer hold any cryptocurrency assets to avoid encountering similar incidents again. Reports indicate that since January of this year, France has recorded about 80 similar incidents.
