Broadcom announced its third quarter results for fiscal year 2026, with adjusted earnings per share of $3.32, exceeding expectations of $3.24; revenue was $29.59 billion, higher than the expected $29.36 billion. Revenue for the quarter grew 86% year-over-year, rising from $15.95 billion in the same period last year to $29.59 billion; net profit increased to $13.09 billion, or $2.68 per share, compared to $4.14 billion, or $0.85 per share in the same period last year.
Semiconductor business revenue increased to $16.7 billion, while infrastructure software business revenue was $8.75 billion. The company expects fourth quarter revenue of $34.8 billion, below market expectations of $35.03 billion. CEO Hock Tan stated that the company is expanding its custom chip business with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and Meta, including Jalapeno shipments and TPU deployments, aiming for AI revenue of $11.5 billion in fiscal year 2027 and $23 billion in fiscal year 2028. After-hours stock price rose slightly.
