A Bitcoin wallet created in 2016 transferred 1260.77 BTC at block height 965770, with the funds being sent to an unknown P2WPKH address. The wallet was created on July 9, 2016, when the holdings were valued at approximately $819,500, and the current value has exceeded $10 million.
Nearly 75 Casascius physical Bitcoins were redeemed six days before September. On September 3, 14 first series Casascius Bitcoins were redeemed, about 15 the next day, and on September 5, a single day reached 40. Casascius physical Bitcoins were produced by Mike Caldwell from 2011 to 2013, made of materials including brass, silver, and gold-plated, with embedded digital BTC. The so-called "peeling" or "redeeming" refers to removing the coin hologram sticker and using the private key inside to transfer digital BTC.
