F2Pool co-founder Wang Chun (@satofishi) stated that six years ago, he banned all members of the Zcash team due to their continuous confusion between EST and EDT time zones, believing that the team lacked basic principles of understanding. He mentioned that this decision remains one of his most correct choices to this day.

Wang Chun cited the BlockFi incident as an analogy—BlockFi mistakenly sent 701.4 BTC instead of the 701.4 USD that should have been sent to users, pointing out that "those who can't even distinguish between EDT and EST are likely to confuse BTC and USD."
