According to Fortune magazine, the stablecoin payment infrastructure company Latitude has completed a $35 million Series A funding round, led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from NEA, Coinbase, Lightspeed Faction, and OpenFX.

The company was co-founded by former executives from Stripe, Uber, Coinbase, and Meta, aiming to help businesses send fiat currency to emerging market users through stablecoins using local payment methods (bank accounts and mobile wallets). Latitude is licensed in 45 U.S. markets and plans to expand its regulatory licenses in Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa. The current team consists of 15 people, and the new funds will be used to expand compliance, engineering, and sales teams.
