European natural gas prices exceeded 80 euros per megawatt hour, reaching a three-year high
According to Gate market data, European natural gas prices have exceeded 80 euros per megawatt hour for the first time, reaching a new high in over three years. Benchmark futures rose by as much as 6.8%, reaching 80.98 euros, the highest point since January 2023. As winter demand is expected to rise, price pressures could evolve into broader economic issues.
