Data: Solana issued over 263,000 new tokens in a single day, setting a new historical record

According to Cointelegraph, the number of newly issued tokens on the Solana network reached a historic high in a single day. According to Solscan data, over 263,000 new SPL tokens were minted on the Solana chain on Wednesday, surpassing the average daily issuance of 40,000 to 50,000 during the peak of the memecoin cycle in December 2024.

Among the 40,360 tokens issued through the launchpad, the memecoin platform Pump.fun accounted for the majority, reaching 34,184 tokens. The launchpad allows creators to design, issue, and trade memecoins without a deep technical background, automatically completing the token creation process and providing immediate liquidity and exposure for new tokens.

According to DefiLlama data, Pump.fun is the highest-earning native protocol in the Solana ecosystem, with a revenue of $1.8 million in the past 24 hours. Last Friday, its daily revenue was briefly surpassed by the trading application Fomo, which combines cryptocurrency trading with social media features. Additionally, despite a cooling off in memecoin activity, Pump.fun contributed $124 million to Solana's total revenue of $342 million in the first quarter of 2026, accounting for about one-third.
