Solana Transaction V1 launches on the mainnet, with the transaction limit increased to 4096 bytes

The Solana client development team Anza posted on X that Transaction V1 (SIMD-0385) has been launched on the mainnet.

This version increases the maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes, allowing ZK proofs, large multi-signatures, BLS signatures, and previously required multiple transactions for confidential transfers to be included in a single atomic operation. V1 also moves resource requests such as computation unit limits, priority fees, account data loading size, and heap size into the transaction header, rather than submitting them through computation budget instructions.
