The World Trade Organization calls for reform of global trade rules
The World Trade Organization urges member countries to reform global trade rules to avoid the risk of trade fragmentation. The organization warns that without reform, global GDP could decline by 5.1% by 2050, with exports decreasing by 18.6%.
Strengthening multilateral cooperation could lead to a 2.9% increase in global GDP and nearly an 18% increase in exports.
