OpenAI supports the U.S. House of Representatives' AI safety regulatory proposal
OpenAI supports the FRONTIER Act proposed by both parties in the U.S. House of Representatives, which requires leading artificial intelligence companies to bring in external assessment organizations to ensure model safety.
Chris Lattner, OpenAI's head of global affairs, stated that the company supports the key provisions of the bill and met with the sponsors on Capitol Hill to discuss arrangements for independent verification organizations.
